Harvard Experts Agree- American public should wear N95s
In recent public comments, Joseph Allen, associate professor at Harvard and his colleagues Doctors Abraar Karan, MD and Ranu Dhillon, MD suggest that the N95 Mask provides superior protection. The same USA MADE N95 Mask used by medical professionals is now available to the general public.
Joseph G. Allen is Director of the Healthy Buildings program and an Associate Professor at Harvard’s T. H. Chan School of Public Health. Prior to joining the faculty at Harvard, he worked in the private sector investigating and resolving indoor environmental quality issues, sick building syndrome cases, cancer clusters, and biological/chemical hazards. One of the world’s leading experts on healthy buildings, Dr. Allen is a regular keynote speaker and advises leading global companies. He is also speaking up on the importance of all Americans wearing N95 masks to protect themselves and others, and to help curtail the spread of COVID-19.
“I’m not alone in calling for better masks, and certainly not the first,” says Allen. “But I am joining the chorus calling for them. This could be the key to slowing the pandemic and limiting spread from the new more highly transmissible variants until we all get vaccinated.”

CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta advocates for all Americans to wear N95 Masks
In the video, Dr. Sanjay Gupta Chief Medical Correspondent for CNN speaks to several experts including Harvard's Dr. Abraar Karan who claims that if all Americans wear N95 masks for 4 weeks "this would stop the epidemic."
The video also shows a quote from former FDA commissioner Dr. Scott Gottlieb, who said "An N95 or equivalent mask offers the best protection."
Former FDA Chief urges the public to wear better masks
Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, has urged Americans to wear better masks, specifically NIOSH approved N95 Respirators and Surgical masks with ASTM Level 1 or 3 distinction.
"Back [in the spring], medical masks were in short supply. As a compromise, the public was advised to use cloth masks,' Gottlieb wrote. "The supply chain has since expanded, and while there are still some shortages of medical masks, health-care workers have dedicated supply chains. It's time to revise the guidance to consumers."
Rhino Medical Supply offers the same N95 Respirators and Procedure masks used by heroes fighting the COVID-19 pandemic to the general public. All of our N95 respirators are NIOSH certified and our procedure masks meet or exceed the ASTM F2100 standard. Every product available on our site is Made in the USA.
